On 26th of September, the IES Octavio Cuartero celebrated the European Day of Languages with a series of dynamic activities.

The first one, carried out by 2nd year students, focused on 1st year students. The day began with an introduction to French, where students learned to introduce themselves in a basic way, practicing phrases like «Bonjour, je m’appelle…» and also maps where they interacted and learned places or things related to France. This activity not only allowed them to become familiar with the language, but also built confidence in communicating in a new language.

Furthermore, to add a creative element, the 2nd year students worked on different posters made to decorate the main hall of the school with the topic: Languages for peace and at the same time participate in a contest. In it, the students captured messages about the importance of learning different languages to achieve peace, in their respective languages, drawings and the cultural wealth that each one brings. This day not only celebrated linguistic diversity, but also strengthened the sense of community at the institute, inspiring young people to explore the world through languages.

Without a doubt, it was an enriching experience that left a positive mark on all participants.
